I think the first time I went to Bisbee, I was stationed at Fort Huachuca, a few miles away. Later, after I got out of the army, Carolyn and I went there for our honeymoon and stayed at the Copper Queen. The whole town is built into the side of a mountain, and I remember seeing a bunch of Shetland Ponies on a rooftop next to the hotel. We asked the clerk at the desk about them. She barely looked up. “Oh, those are Bob’s,” she said.
